Ski Holidays in Switzerland
Switzerland has some of the most luxurious resorts in Europe and is well known for its picturesque mountain sceneries and authentic alpine villages. Due to this it is also one of Europe’s most expensive places to go skiing. But you may feel that the costs are worthwhile once you hit the slopes as Switzerland has some of the worlds best for skiers and snowboarders. Switzerland is not for the faint hearted though, and certainly not suited to the beginner. Only the intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders should choose Switzerland as their winter break destination.
The ski season in Switzerland generally begins in December and carries on through until late March, although some of the higher resorts can go on a little longer even year round on some glaciers.
